Pistang Tomasino

PISTANG TOMASINO

It was February 13, 2018, t'was a sunny day for an adventurous girl. I was passing by at the Quadricentennial Park when I first had a glimpse of the designs but, since I was in a hurry I rushed to our building to attend my next class. Fast forward, my friend asked me if I wanted to look at the booths in the Quadricentennial Park,I was curious of what would they be selling so I decided to come with her. As we reached the said destination, I have recognized different products that would be worth the penny and for it's cause.

Below is the pictures that I've captured. Sooo...

First: Buko Juice and Niyog.

BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE!! I'd like you guys to know that I rarely (actually, NOT AT ALL) drink fruit juice nor eat fruits.

This is a picture of me holding a coconut, while it still wasn't chopped to get the juice inside. Lol.

So, as I've said, it was a sunny day. The heat of the sun was so intense that my friend, Patricia, bought buko juice. So out of curiosity and thirst.. I tried it. I was in front of them while they were chopping the parts of the coconut in order to get the juice inside. OH, THEY ALSO PEELED SOME OF THE INNER SIDES!! It's called niyog. GUYS, I EAT KUTSINTA AND CAN EAT IT WITH NIYOG, AND GUESS WHAT.. I HAD NO IDEA THAT NIYOG CAME FROM THE INSIDES OF COCONUT SHELLS.

Well anyway, this was from Sitio Parapal Brgy. Mabiga and Brgy. Bambam, Hermosa Bataan. Even though that they served it without ice they reassured me that it was still delicious and that I'd enjoy it even if it was warm.

Second: Sunflower beaded bracelet.

I figured this one out because a classmate of mine, Sheila, showed me her sunflower beaded bracelet. So, I asked her where she bought it and how much did it cost her then she told me that she got it from one of the booths from Pistang Tomasino and she bought it for 35 pesos. IT WAS ONLY 35 PESOS AND GURL, IT IS FAB. The way it was put totally reassures you that it won't get pigtas easily. I searched all of the booths and FINALLY FOUND IT. I REALLY REALLY LIKE SUNFLOWERS SO I BOUGHT IT IMMEDIATELY.

Third: Sunflower Seeds.

Some of my classmates told me that when they saw one of the booths  from the Pistang Tomasino, they found a booth that were selling sunflower seeds, dragon seeds, etc. They told me that the first thing that popped out inside of their head was "Uy, gusto ni Aye yan.". Symbolic Interaction, lol. Anyway, I really like sunflower seeds too.

Whenever we go to Divisoria, I buy lots of sunflower seeds and bring it to school to eat it. So yeah, I really am addicted to any form of sunflowers, lol. So yeah, they told me that there were booths that were selling sunflower seeds and I immediately searched for it. I didn't noteice that it was just beside the booth where I also bought the bracelet.

Sadly, I have no picture of the sunflower seeds. Anyway, I bought it for only 40 pesos and it was a huge pack. My stomach enjoyed.

END OF PICTURES.

To sum it all up, I really had a fun day despite the intense heat. Not only have I enjoyed the things that I bought but I know that this will help them improve their products and help them in raising funds for the things that they might need and to donate some of it to the people who are in need.

  1. This blog talk about the pistang tomasino that happened in UST. As you read the blog you’ll realize that the blog is entertaining especially when you love to buy the local products around the philippines. and i realize that some of her product will not trend like the buko especially we all know here at the philippines we can see a buko vendor in every corner of the streets.
